Hey there people! The device up for review today is a brand new tablet device from the stables of Injoo Mobile; the Injoo F5 Pro.
However, before moving on, I’d love to ask a question. Just for clarity purpose, what’s your idea of a “Pro” device? When a device has a Pro suffix to its end, what idea do you have about such device? Did you answer that it should be an upgrade to a previously existing one? Well, you are super correct! Thumbs up!
Apparently, Injoo’s definition of the suffix “Pro” seem to be quite different from the norm as the Injoo F5 Pro is actually a downgrade of the previously released Injoo F5. Weird right? Anyway, let’s proceed to the business of the day..
DESIGN
The Injoo F5 Pro comes in a all round Plastic body cover. The plastic covering actually speaks a lot about the device; one of which is it is definitely a low end smartphone. The rear camera is neatly placed in the middle right at the top of the device back side. The LED flash sits just right behind the rear camera. The device is also quite a load to one’s hand as it weighs 272g.
DISPLAY
The low end tablet sports a 7.0 inch Capacitive Touch Screen with a dimension of 188 x 107.4 x 10 and screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The screen according to the manufacturers candisplay up to 16M colours. The display is however quite applaudible as a resolution of this kind can handle gaming, movies, pictures and other display functions properly by providing clear and colourful pictures.
NETWORK AND PROCESSOR
The Injoo F5 Pro comes with 1.3GHz Quad-core MTK Processor and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The graphic processes on this device is handled by the Mali 400MP GPU and proper functioning and multitasking of this giant of a device were left in the hands of the dwarfy 1GB RAM. The end product of their chemistry sure doesn’t look so much promising.
The Injoo F5 Pro allows for dual sim simultaneously, micro SIMS by the way. The network supported are – HSPDA 900/2100 & GSM 850/900/100/1900 which have up to 100kpbs downloads speeds on 2G networks and up to 24.57mpbs downloads speeds on 3G networks. There’s also WIFI Hotspot and Bluetooth v4.0 support for the Injoo F5 Pro.
CAMERA
Now to the shooters!
The F5 Pro Front-facing selfie camera is of 0.2 MP quality. Super duper poor! C’mon Injoo, this is 2017 for crying out loud! In the era and time where a 5MP shooter is being deemed as manageable and even going into extinct, a 0.2MP selfie camera is what you decide to release? Wrong maths I must say.
However, the 0.2MP selfie camera according to Injoo, can take selfies of 4036 x 3096-pixel picture quality and is also optimized for video calls
In the same disappointing fashion, a 2MP rear camera was graced to the back of the F5 Pro. Pictures of up to 2592 x 1944-pixel can be taken with LED flash.
MEMORY AND STORAGE
As stated earlier, a dwarf 1GB RAM comes with the Injoo F5 Pro. 8GB Internal memory (ROM) which can be expanded through the use of external storage device in the memory card slot with support up to 32GB microSD cards.
BATTERY
The InnJoo F5 Pro comes with a 2800 mAh Li-Po Battery, which you would agree is very very low for tablet devices.
There are phones sporting up to 10,000mAH being released. 2,800mAH is very little battery juice to sustain normal or even heavy usage on this device.
PRICE
The current price range of Innjoo F5 Pro in Nigeria ranges from N25,500 – 27,000N depending on your location.
