Super Mario Run Now Available on iOS

Nintendo unveiled the iOS version of Super Mario Run game yesterday. iPad and iPhone users all over the world can now head to the App Store after it was announced by the company at the Apple Event around three months ago.

Installing the game will take about 370MB of storage space on your device and a stable internet connection is required to play the game, or else a pop-up will prevent you from playing. Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto claimed that this move is necessary so that piracy can be put in check.

In a recent interview with Mashable, he stressed further:
For us, we view our software as being a very important asset for us. And also for consumers who are purchasing the game, we want to make sure that we’re able to offer it to them in a way that the software is secure, and that they’re able to play it in a stable environment.

There are 24 levels of the game with three main modes namely, World Tour, Toad Rally and Mushroom Kingdom. The first three levels are freely available, while you will pay $10 to unlock the rest.

As this is Nintendo’s first big venture in mobile, there are speculations that it will be a huge success. Plans are already in place for the Android version and we might see it early next year.
