A speed test video emerged online on Weibo a few weeks ago showing a comparison between the Vivo Xplay 5 Elite, the iPhone 6s and another Vivo phone and it was seen that the Vivo Xplay 5 Elite opened apps more quickly than the other two smartphones.
The Vivo Xplay 5 Elite was also spotted running on 6 GB RAM on the AnTuTu benchmark test achieving a score of 162,610 points which is substantially higher than the 133,053 score of the LG G5 and 116,668 score of the Samsung Galaxy S7 both with 4 GB RAM.

The phone was announced on March 1st at a special event in China and indeed it has a whooping 6 GB RAM. It has a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED Quad HD touchscreen display with 2K HD resolution and sports dual curved edges at the front and the back, Analysts say it looks like a mix of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Xiaomi Mi 5.

It uses the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and the new Adreno 530 GPU and runs Android OS Lollipop v5.1 with Vivo’s Funtouch launcher UI. Its internal memory is 128 GB and it has a finger print reader on its back. It has dual SIM slots, LTE radios, WiFi and Bluetooth for connectivity and a decent 3600 mAh battery.

The rear camera on this monster is a 16 MP Sony IMX298 shooter and it has a PDAF and dual tone flash while the front camera is a decent 8 MP.
Vivo Xplay 5 Release date and Price in Nigeria
The Vivo Xplay 5 Elite’s price starts at approximately 180,000 Naira. It will go on sale in China from March 8 however the company has not given any details of its sale in international markets.
